🎓 Artist biography

Ivo Pervan was born on June 24, 1947 in Split. He started photography in high school, and after studying foreign trade, he decided to dedicate himself professionally to his hobby. Since the 1990s, he has been collaborating with tourist boards, and his poster of the city of Split won first place at the world competition in Vienna in 1992. Since then, Pervan's works have brought Croatia a total of seven international awards.

📚 Heritage as a mission

His slide library contains over 200,000 slides, while his digital collection exceeds 500,000 photographs. He has published 35 author photo monographs and participated as a co-author in more than 100 publications. His work on documenting sacral architecture and organizing slide projections on the topic of Croatian heritage is particularly noteworthy.

🌍 Global presence

Pervan's photographs have been published in prestigious international magazines such as Geo France, Michelin Editions des Voyages, Brandt Travel Guides and Yachts Croatia. His works adorn catalogs, guidebooks and postcards, and have twice won the prestigious Red Dot award.

At the opening of the exhibition, the author addressed the audience with the words: "With what you record, you leave a mark on the earth." His message resonated strongly among visitors, reminding them of the importance of photography as a medium that not only records, but also preserves identity.
