City of Dubrovnik, lat. Ragusium, is situated on the southern part of Republic of Croatia. It is the administrative center of Dubrovnik-Neretva County and is known as a historical and tourist center. In 1979 it was added to the UNESCO list of the World Heritage List. In the Middle Ages it is known as the autonomous area under the name of the Republic of Dubrovnik, which competes with the Republic of Venice. Since the 15th century and 16 century the city of Dubrovnik has had the strong development, thanks to its diplomacy and cultural and natural wealth.

It is well-known that Dubrovnik attracts numerous domestic and foreign visitors every year because of its cultural attractions, natural beauties, various manifestations, geographical location and mild Mediterranean climate.
Particularly famous Dubrovnik walls, which stretch over 1940 metres, represent the cultural symbol of the city.

Dubrovnik is known around the world as a destination for cultural tourism due to various cultural events, festivals, prestigious art events, entertainment concerts and other great outdoor events, especially during the summer season.

Apart from the development of a rich tourist product, the city of Dubrovnik is also known for the development of so-called incentive tourism, i.e. congress tourism. Recently, Dubrovnik is the leading destination in the Republic of Croatia for organizing congresses, meetings, business events and popular team building.

It is inevitable to mention that the city of Dubrovnik is famous for the development of the film industry due to the stunning scenery that is often used to capture the scenes of many famous films and serials, including the Game of Thrones. Dubrovnik is also known as the “must see” destination for many famous people, including Meghan Markle, Beyoncé, Tom Cruise, Angeline Jolie and others.
