Awards for the best marina on the Croatian Adriatic
Golden Sail • Tourist flower
Marina Frapa's goal was, from the very beginning, to become the best marina on the Croatian Adriatic and this goal proved to be justified by winning the first prize in that category, only after one year of its existence. In 1999, the marina won the Golden Sail award that was being granted by the Večernji List (a Croatian daily newspaper) where the rating was carried out by the Tourist Committee which consisted of experts for the evaluation of the tourism offer quality.
The same award for the best Adriatic marina was given to the marina Frapa in the years 2000 and 2001 and that means that the marina has in its award collection three Golden Sail awards.
Besides the Golden Sail awards, the marina is a multiple winner of the „Tourist flower – quality for Croatia“ award. This prestigious award is given every year at the „Croatian tourism days“ at the end of the season. The „Croatian tourism days“ are organized by the Croatian Tourism Ministry in cooperation with the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Croatian Radiotelevision.
The Croatian Chamber of Commerce and the Croatian Radiotelevision are arranging every year during the tourist season the traditional presentation „Tourist flower – quality for Croatia“. At this event acknowledgments and awards are presented to the best Croatian tourist destinations, companies and individuals with the goal of improving the competitiveness of the Croatian tourism offer by keeping at the same time its autochthonic quality and recognition value.
The first „Tourist flower – quality for Croatia“ prize was awarded to the marina Frapa in 2003, then in the years 2004, 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2012. After a number of awards, in 2008 the marina Frapa won a special prize, the „Crystal flower“ in the category „Best marina on the Adriatic“, seeing that it has taken the title for the best marina on the Croatian Adriatic for five times. The marina Frapa Rogoznica was in 2013 also the winner in the category „Best big marina in Croatia“ as well as in the category „Marina of the year“.
